We just finished re-watching the first season - it ends on a VERY strained note, the whole last episode is one giant stress point. No lost parents... no bullshit, just tons of relentless push.

  Made you want to watch the next season premier to find out what happened to everybody.
  
  So the finale of season 4 was less intense and dramatic.

    Which is big difference with the Season 4 ending, that was more of a "Huh?" nature.
