..."Folks, don't try this at home". The review obviously left us with different impressions.
P.S. Nothing personal here. I just found the frequent attempts at "clever" to be distractingly awkward. The subject phrase was a great example. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.......

Nothing personal here.
I thought my reading of the phrase in quotes was just literal. A turd floating in a rain barrel. And he compares the series so far to that.

yet when you say...
"."floating aimlessly" makes it sound as if manure is somehow a low form of life"

On a different day, in a different frame of mind, I might see it that way.

Its all about perception, I guess.
