Make a despicable character prominent early on so you can allow the events of the film execute him in a way that satisfies the audiences' hunger for bloodshed.
In today's so called civilized world, we're not really that different from the crowds at a Roman gladiator event in ancient times.

Having a big supply of despicable characters for the Raptors to eat.
It's a stupid movie but I'll watch it just for the scene of the Raptor tails moving through the tall grass and picking off the bad guys one by one. Great scene.
