but the rest of the movie beats you over the head over and over about his sickness.

I just wish it was about more of his music and less depressing crap.

The entire story is well told however.

Overall a very solid effort and tribute to BW.

I thought the story was a sloppy mess. All the jumping around without any context, any developed timeline, made it a mishmash of a film. That said, I loved some of the scenes, and all of the performances were great. Giamatti's a hambone, sorry. The scene at the barbecue almost had me weeping. Been there, done that. And Elizabeth Banks was too beautiful. It had me a bit distracted. Sorry for the rambling, I really liked the film.
