I'm tired of her dominating the scene, hijacking the camera, and turning in trans-formative performances. Yep, tiresome she is. She just might sneek in a NOM for playing Mary Mapes. Mapes is a 60 Minutes producer who got a hot lead on Dubya's National Guard record and dived in, head over heels, to prove the Dub wasn't worthy of a second term. This film laid it all out, according to Redford and producer Marty Sheen, and showed the utter destruction their failure to test and verify source documents reeked on CBS and their careers.
Blanchett was her usual out-of-the-park while Redford looked ridiculous as Dan Rather. I thought the script was good and the story edited well. It was a typical Redford regurgitation of conservatives gone bad which kind of limits the audience around here.
I would suggest a nice DVD or cable airing on a cold, miserable night when you politics need stoking. There were no winners in this film, as in reality, so get out yer hankies.
Follow Ups:
He did a film years back about Woodward and Bernstein (can't recall which he was, or the title) investigating the Watergate scandal. He has now portrayed both sides of the journalistic coin -- that which informs of truth, and that which doesn't.

Grammar is just grammar.
By all means continue mispelling if you wish.

No time for grammar or punctuation. Just be Faulkner.
... it was nearly a ghost town. What gives? I was looking for a bookstore and coffee. When I heard a roar I knew then what the deal was. It was a Saturday afternoon, and Ole Miss -- all of it -- was in the stadium playing football. Eli Manning was in process of whipping somebody.
Her characters are all Mimi.
