In Reply to: RE: Glad you're enjoying it Victor. I gave it a 10 at IMDB, the sheer audacity of such a production posted by Road Warrior on November 16, 2015 at 15:43:04
It is a fantastic spectacle overall. I can't imagine what it took to put together such a production.
It is heartless, however, as others have indicated. I am not a squeamish kind, but I felt very real physical pain watching the end of the 49th episode (no spoiler). I hate to admit it, but it did affect me.
Follow Ups:
That's a pretty heavy budget for a one hour TV movie. It is worth it. When I first started watching I got hooked into binge-ing and I viewed three to four epi's a day straight through.
From what I've read the end of season five had caught up with the books. Season six will certainly be all.
I figured you for falling head over hills for Brienne of Tarth.
...I seem to recall that the four stars of Friends were pulling one mil each, for each episode, that's 4 mils in their salaries alone!
And that was in the 80's money. So 6 mils today doesn't strain my imagination... but like I said, me no experD, I don't know what other "typical" shows cost.
Do you know?

have the hutzpah to even try to pull something off like that????? Yes, we both were affected.....
Tell us your thoughts on Epi. 50 once you see it.

"E Burres Stigano?"
...did not impress me nearly as much. I thought it looked like the whole crew was tired, looking forward to get the job finished. Several scenes were, for this reason, way too overdrawn, especially the Walk of Shame... was it just to give the extras something to talk about? They surely got their eyes full. But to make the viewer to feel sympathy for an evil person - IS an achievement in itself. I suspect the payback will be a bitch.
The last scene left me almost indifferent - throughout all 50 episodes I managed not to develop strong positive feelings towards that character. Something in it kept me cold.
Wonderful last scenes by Dinklage, with a strong promise of more to come.
