Made it through about 15 minutes of the first episode before hitting the eject button. Was that wrong? Yes, I know it has Woody Harrelson AND Mathew McConaughie in it.
Follow Ups:
I really enjoyed season 1. It had some interesting characters, an interesting setting, and an atmosphere of deep secrets. I thought Matthew M.'s dialogue was also well done, although I could understand others thinking it's a bit silly. Not to spoil anything, but often when a show depends on an implication of deep secrets, the final revelation can never live up to the built up atmosphere. So, for me, it kind of faded toward the end, but all in all, I enjoyed it.
OK, but...season 2 was from a different universe. It did not grab me at the start. And then it got worse and worse until...the Internet recaps started to get sarcastic and funny and it became "so bad it's good." Really, deeply into golden turkey territory. I know some people actually liked it, but I thought it was very very bad. But again, there is some entertainment value to very bad. But I would not recommend it, and I am very unlikely to tune in for season 3, in the remote event such a thing is produced.
...
Seriously? Fifteen minutes?
Yeah, maybe you should pass on this.

From someone that seems like an instant gratification type guy.

I once had a friend get furiously angry with me because I recommended 'Memento' to him.
He thought it was some kind of practical joke, couldn't understand it in ten minutes so he turned it off.

I watched both first and 2nd seasons. Both were detective mystery dramas that kept me watching to see what came next.
That said, I can say that while I found both enjoyable and engrossing, I can't say that my life was enriched or otherwise improved by any part of it.
And I have to say that I find Mcconauhie's style of delivery to be somewhat distracting.....perhaps annoying. The actor mumbles too much, imo.

Also had a bit of a problem with Woody Harrelson, who appeared to be channeling his character in No Country for Old Men plus added attraction of interminally stuck out lower lip.
I didn't like Season One at first, so much Attitude and heavy atmosphere, seemed set-up and contrived.
But then I got into it, ( I skipped a couple of episodes ) and the last few episodes were great.
I liked the Flash-backs from different perspectives.

If so, you should have been hooked enough to see what happens next.

Stop. I'm joking. Do not drown your sorrow by watching season 2. Its like night and day between those seasons. Roadie is right; TD1 is a fantastic series; you'll get sucked into it so deep there's no escape until done.
