as I'm a fan but I was shocked. I thought she did a very good job for her first foray into movies/TV. As I'm 4 epis behind so don't nobody chime in with, "damn, whatta shame that xxxx happened" or other spoilers

Glad Spotlight got its well deserved nom'n.

Martian got a comedy nod??? Whatever. It was a very good show deserving of some kind of nod I guess and it did ave its moments as a comedy

Snubs? Michael B Jordan in Creed but, with only 5 nomn's to pass out, I'm not going to picket the night of the awards. He's going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future if he picks the right roles.

Mad Max was nom'd for best picture and not Creed? Again, not having seen the Mad Max I can't file a protest, yet....

Amy Poehler was snubbed as the writer points out. She's genius, just a step or two behind Fey.

Creed is more deserving of best picture.

I'd give nods to Fury Road for direction and cinematography.

...Mad Max is best seen on the big screen - very little CGI and great stunts.

    ...the only one of the series I liked was The Road Warrior which I'd put in my top 10.
    
    This one was nearly as good, but with a female hero, Charlize Theron, who I really like.

      Okay. We have a some common ground then. I too enjoyed Road Warrior, but this last one I thought was just over the top silly. Maybe I've just gotten too old for this kind of film. We also share an appreciation for Charlize, but this was one of hers I'd rather not watch a second time.
