I just got back from a Monday matinee. IMAX (no 3d)
Great movie. I promise no spoilers for the many who will want to see this film but haven't yet.
The CGI by Lucas's old company; Industrial Light and Magic. Really good!
One highly emotionally charged moment. The last act seemed quite powerful to me.
The best re-boot movie I've seen so far this century.

...
Remember thinking it's going to be a long wait until the next film (although half the time, this time around, as VIII is already filming).

Haven't seen it, so can't really say about the movie, but the activity generated about and around it is just short of street riots. Parties, costumes, gatherings, stuff, ... my lord, the stuff ... tv commercials for the stuff ... on and on.
The Cult Awakens.
I just don't understand the wet pants phenomenon this franchise has. Grown men acting like children, sheesh. At least when you stand in line at the Apple Store you get something tangible for your trouble. I'll get rambunctious when the next Guardians of the Galaxy comes out.

I saw it yesterday, and I must say J.J must have look hard at the first three, well actually at the first two as the third was more or less ca- ca even if not in the magnitude to the other who came after...
The film is quite good and I was bored for a short moment only twice, who for that kind of film is a good sign for me.
Of course the 3D glass are still a pain and it also give a darker rendition of the picture.
harrison Ford did not looked so weird as in his last Indiana, no he made a food show. Leia has lost her virginity which do not make her better....
All in all it was good afternoon if only my neighbor next seat did not had an XXXXXL pop corn and eat it for two hours, long hours, crunch.... crunch crunch.... I look around and I was the oldest...too bad, if I would have his neck twisted and would made him a kind of waterboarding in his grains.
...most are very positive.
Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher have cameos as cadavers in the movie.
...Carrie was pissed they made her lose weight for the movie.
Harrison broke his ankle.
Old people problems.
Laughing...
As long as she didn't have to quit drinking she'll be good to go.
More laughing...
Finally, someone laughed at one of my jokes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It felt great being there with so many people, all having fun. We plan to see it again, just to share in the experience with everyone on more.

In the theaters or at home? Unsure. Haven't watched a movie in my room for almost 3 years now! Wow... OK, decided; I'll watch it at home when it's available. Checked the PJ still worked about a year ago, so it should be good.
And for older kiddies as well.
Recently I've reviewed episodes 4 and 5. My takeaway.....some of the more awkward romantic dialog ever committed to big budget movies.
And lets not forget episode 2 with those scenes between Padme and Anakin. Lucas wrote that screenplay. Perhaps blame that one on Hayden Christensen for his amateurish delivery. Or maybe the dialog between the two lovers might have been difficult to deliver well. And the same has been said of the dialog between Han and Leia in Episode 5.
Hopefully JJ and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan can get a better grip on this aspect. But then kasdan wrote the script for episode 5...jeesh. A great episode but the romance scenes really did not work.
Oh right, its a kiddie movie. lets not forget that.

Apparently you missed Star Trek Into Darkness, J.J.'s last film.
How I envy you.
