I'm in Vegas on vacation and found a shop selling autographed prints such as Jack Nicholson sighned movie poster for a Bjorn so little $1499. The store has numerous autographed tv and movie posters like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones cast $6000. I am considering Daisy Ridley for Force Awakens but some of the prices seem quite steep. If they would at least retain value I'd be ok with it...but I wonder if any of you film buffs feel these sorts of things are worth investing in?
Cheers
Follow Ups:
Most of these highly sought after movie relics will remain valuable only for a certain period of time, IMO. Most of them will eventually "wear out" and lose much of their charm and value.
Associated objects that do maintain value also have the highest intrinsic practical value: The nicely crafted "art-objects", the beautiful homes, boats, vehicles, and other nice things once owned by those rich enough to afford them.
Art retains value, not much else does.

Think I might be a little more worried about Presidential mementos on it.

"What's that stain, yogart?
We have one of those stores in the French Quarter and a lot of their autographs are what I call assembly line, in other words someone like Tom Petty will autograph a bunch of Fender Squire guitars , the cheapest Fender makes, to sell in these shops is probably only worth the cost of the guitar and the autograph. Now if you found a guitar actually played by the person, Jimi Hendrix lets say, with provenance like a picture of him playing it in concert that is another story.
Now if you could find a pair of original ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz you could be a millionaire.

Is it that Pawnshop that is shown on Discovery channel? They have some fancy stuff. And a lot of bargaining.

...I'd go for rock star/Beatles/Stones signed memorabilia.
Like a signed guitar.
...if you are buying something to make money, you will most likely lose it.
Usually those collections increase in value that reflect the taste and personality of the owner, who only followed his heart.
So if you are going love looking at those posters - buy them. If not - move on.
