.... ratings test. To run the six episodes to measure viewership as part of a plan to introduce a reboot of the X-Files. And the reboot writers will have Chris Carter to guide the new series. Or so I suspect.

...that's what everyone thought - then Carter said in an interview that these 6 were all he was doing.

  ..at the end of last week's episode the preview for next weeks episode used the wording ;one more episode before the "season finale." Not series finale. Season finale.
  
  Regardless of what's in the news, I'm waiting til episode 6 to see if that's all there is or if a reboot is in the future.
