In the opposite direction of the Britannic-fuel slop jar of infinitely bad taste and desperation.
I try to be open-minded about stupid movies because I often enjoy them for some perverse reason but this one was way over stupid. I can't believe Cohen got Strong, McShane, Cruz, and Fisher to actually be in this three-legged sow. I guess the Brit Scoom has a much lower threshold for humor than even I. What a mess.
My best example of "is that really necessary" comes about midway through. Strong and Cohen are running across a plain in South Africa being chased by well-armed killers. Cohen, in desperation, spotted an elephant vajayjay and they both dive in. The smell is killing them and when Cohen looks out to see if the coast is clear he is met with a rampaging, amorous bull. Now, that's not the end of it because it gets wet and wild to say the least.
Ironically, some reviewers have noted Cohen's "edgy humor". Edgy?
They made fun of Trump during the last stadium scene and even implied he had AIDS. (Same as Daniel Radcliffe.)
Hey, Movie Pass made me go. It was "free".
The trailer looks almost benign, doesn't? Beware.
Follow Ups:
if you know and like Cohen's humor it's not that shocking. To the uninitiated or those traveling with polite company it is far off the trail.
..did you like Borat and/or Bruno? I laughed pretty hard at both, especially in the theater with a packed house. Wanted to see this one but I also value my time and money.
At this one being a huge send up of British people.
Because the trailer is pretty damn funny.
