A very entertaining cop/gangster/babe flick, with tons of atmosphere.

I can see why it did not score higher on imdb, but I still liked it.

And yes... I had my subs turned on this time! :) Although here they were much less needed.

I remember that--well bits anyway--it was on Sunday afternoon winter TV a couple of years back--OK -but Aust can/does do better I feel.

  Without any doubts, but there is time and place for many things. Like I said, I did see the Swerve's shortcomings, but it was still fun to watch - unlike so many movies today. It was no Breaker Morant, but sometimes you drink fine wine, and sometimes a good box wine will do.
  
  BTW - I was never able to get the satisfactory answer to the meaning of "Breaker" in that title. A law breaker, or a horse breaker... or both? It's been years since I saw it, probably should view it again.
