Pretty much the worst casting ever.
Oh well, should be a new Jack Reacher novel out soon.

...saw the trailer last night.
Looks great Cruise and all - can't wait.
...I thought the previous Reacher film pretty well captured the tone and twists of the books and that Cruise did a credible job in spite of his small size.
Film - Never Go Back on 10/21.
Book - Night School on 11/8 ( a prequel with Reacher in the Army).
for the genre. An action movie. Cruise though will NEVER be Jack Reacher no matter how much
he paid to portray him, how good an action "hero" he can be, how effective a film maker he is on
this level.
THAT is the failure - he's Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher.
Shoulda kept the premise and story and changed the main characters name.
Out of respect for... Jack Reacher.

...look, I'm one of the biggest Reacher fans and for me the film worked with Cruise - he pulled it off.
No he's not 6' 4" and 240 lb. but so what. It's a film and you have to suspend disbelief to enjoy them.
Who could have done a better job?
I can't think of anyone.
Don't even mention Dwayne Johnson.
Armie Hammer is 6-5, 200 and he did action fine in the "Man from U.N.C.L.E." movie.
...I saw the Lone Ranger on TV and thought it was a hoot.
I'm not sure Hammer has the chops to pull Reacher off.
even Eminem.
Schroder would have to hit the gym a bit and Eminem would have to gain some weight.
Man, that's harsh....
Dwayne Johnson would have been PERFECT!
