the movie and actors went thru the motions with no effect on myself.

There was no attitude and very little fun (the beginning when they told backgrounds on the SS was OK).

So many neat opportunities wasted.

How could they spend all the time and money with such poor writing?

It's not been a good year for wanna-be blockbusters.

I understand Trek Beyond dropped 60% in it's second week and it got pretty decent reviews.

I guess people are tired of being beaten into their chairs by bombastic, over the top stunts and special effects.

It was inevitable.
