Although I've watched "Beatles Anthology" numerous times- Ron Howard's "Eight Days a Week" unearthed great Beatle footage I'd never seen before that made me wonder - where has this footage been hiding all these years? Howard chronicles the innocence of the times and the excitement of Beatles in a linear way that exhibits their success that quickly outgrows the available facilities and tedious media scrutiny - and we have a have a front row seat. The hardcore Beatle fan won't have oodles of revelations but the documentary is so well done, even well-traveled events ("Bigger than Jesus") take on a new perspective. The noteworthy fact is despite non-stop touring and time restraints the Beatles of this era were releasing a new record every 6 months. Each release showing a significant maturity and transformation. I was astonished all over again. I loved it!

I was too young at the time to understand what was going on. I didn't know how powerful "Beatlemania" was at the time. I really enjoyed the doc and the concert afterwards. Just amazing how good the group was live given the primitive sound set ups and no monitors on stage to hear what they were doing.
...I was told there is concert footage that is only shown in the theaters - not on the version streamed or played at home.
