...new show on FX debuted Thursday night.
A spin off of X-Men apparently and highly advertised during the Super Bowl.
Very well done and an interesting first episode.
Not quite Stranger Things but recommend.
Anyone else see it?
Follow Ups:
I caught that episode.
At first I was caught up in the deception. And I was as bewildered as the primary character. But then as the episode unfolded I was able to perceive that he was the victim of an extremely elaborate ruse designed to prevent him from knowing who he really is and, more importantly, what he is.
So far the clues given suggest that this character will be more powerful than any X-men character we've seen yet. This may or may not interest me depending on what these early episode plots point toward. How long will it take for this character to get a grip? Where's the fun; in the deceptions and hallucinations produced by this unnamed government agency or does he emerge as an all powerful adversary to the human race? Is he evil or a friend?

....season trajectory.
Now we seem to be at a secret training facility for 'gifted' people. Or is it yet another elaborate production to further disinform and contain our protagonist?
More head games. Another psyco drama where the viewer lives with the protagonist inside his mind. And the drama going on within the mind is quite different from the reality from without. I am reminded of the later episodes of Mr. Robot season one and almost all of season two.
I might not be on board for this one.
Yet another comparison: Falling Water. Another psycho drama that lives within the minds of its main characters. I watched two episodes of that series and then deleted it from my dvr record settings.
Too cerebral for me.

"E Burres Stigano?"
It is very arty and a bit complex. I like that. What with flashbacks and hallucinations, this viewer struggled a bit keeping track of what is going on, but I like to work a little. On the other hand this ends up looking like an origin story for yet another comic book superhero story and I'm not much interested in those. It was a bit of a slog to get through the long episode and I'm not sure I'll watch the next one. I can compare it to the new 24, which is dumb and completely absurd but fun and I will definitely watch the next 24.
