The pilot was (now) hilarious and first couple regular episodes show developing characters with Mr Spock smiling at times.

Since the original series was shot on 35mm film, the picture quality looks like it was made in high definition video.
I remember the premier first episode on NBC, there was one kid on the block whose parents owned a color TV. We all went over to that house to watch it.
