Looks like Toshiba's latest firmware adds new online capabilities. But whether I personally care enough to permanently run an ethernet cable over to my HD DVD player is another matter ;-)

As the demo of the web-based features went on, I became more and more amazed to think that anyone would base a buying decision on them. The most provocative parts were the lowering of the base price to $299 and the facility for software upgrades. Otherwise, ho hum.

Both Blood Diamond and 300 will have internet features, as you say, how many people will actually use it is another story.
Also, as of July 1, the MSRP of the A2 will be $300, and the A20 will be $400-those were sales prices originally. Look for lower street prices. Some will also be bundled with their LCDs. We'll see how it goes.
