I'm still on my original bulb, with a guesstimate of about 4,000 hrs on it. I bought a spare a few months ago, just to have on hand.

Hi,
This post got me thinking that I should have a replacement in hand. I went to the SONY parts web site and of course my lamp is not listed. My manual sez I need an XL-5200, but the closest SONY shows is an XL-5000U which they simply say is for SXRD TVs. I sent in a response to SONY and am awaiting a response, but if you know of other suppliers I would appreciate knowing who they are.
Thanks, Joe
I think its the XL-5100.

I did a search on Yahoo and found several web merchants who have the lamps but not the assemblies. Cost is about $100 less, but I'm not sure if these lamps are the exact replacements as claimed. In any case, your info is appreciated.
Thanks again, Joe
