I thought LCDs are RPTVs; using a lamp to project the image from a tiny LCDs.Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy - WB Yeats
Follow Ups:
Some are, most aren't. Some few are like narrow RPs, most are thin like plasmas - direct view, no lamps - think large thin computer monitors.
Thin is in. RPs are great banf for buck but a dying breed.
Figures. Just bought a Sony RPTV last week.
There will be no problem getting bulbs. Sony does not produce them. Philips or Osram manufacture them.
I'm still on my original, with over 2 years of fairly heavy use. Looks like the SXRD will be my last Sony, I'm not a fan of their LCDs.
Jack
I'm not worried, as I don't have a RP. :-)
