Neil Young's perennially delayed "Archives" project will supposedly be released later this year on DVD and Blu-ray (no CD release is planned). The first set, 'Volume 1: 1963 - 1972', will feature unreleased studio tracks and live performances. No specs or track lists are available at this time. The discs will supposedly be bundled with a book.

I didn't know this was going to be released on blu-ray, but this has been discussed ad nauseum over at www.stevehoffman.tv.

And it has already been delayed, and to judge from reading the thread(s), delays are inevitable with Mr. Young. And another, and another, and another . . .

  But we do have a quote from NY saying it will be out this year and that technology has finally caught up with his plans for releasing it, or something along those lines.
