A friend just purchased one of these-don't know the model number, but it's fairly recent-and it was set up yesterday by another friend who has worked at a high end audio store and is quite familiar with Arcam and the proper way to hook it up. We quickly noticed that at a certain point, i.e., anything above 72 dB, volume in the right channel became far greater than in the left. This was true while using any of the available formats.
Any thoughts on what may cause this problem?

So, how about giving us some useful information? What Arcam? How is it connected? What formats/modes of input are in use?
OTOH, it may simply be a defective device. So, if it was bought new, return to dealer.
