Hey Mitch this link will break it down for you better than I can. From what I gather if your panel is recognized as a LCD PC monitor, over scan is not an issue, as in my case.
You shouldn't need it with the modern plasmas or LCDs if the signal is digital driven. The link explains more.

Yes, it's recognized as an lcd monitor. Also, the HDMI#1 is designed for PC DVI to HDMI input. I'll try the D-sub as well and see what results that provides.
SOoooo many settings on this panel, for tuning and fine tuning.
