I've had a Samsung 46" for 8 yrs. Loved it so much that when we had the basement finished earlier in the year I ordered a 50" to replace the 46 (moved upstairs) and a 55" for the basement. Had the 50 hooked up while they were still working on the basement and hate it so much that we exchanged the 55 for a 70" Sharp. Huge difference in depth of color and clarity.
I guess you can't be brand loyal after so many years.
