Video Asylum

My friend asked me for help and after couple of hours I threw the towel and pulled Optical cable from the pocket -problem solved. Why that damn thing doesn't work? I went through the TV settings, Processor settings. Turned off/0n in proper sequence to reset. Nothing helped
He bought processor used, supposedly reset to factory specs. I read some less than favorable reports of Mcintosh HDMI boards going bad. Anyway , picture is there but the sound is missing. Meh!
