In 1504, the young, tempestuous King charges a father/son team to travel the country to bring back the most beautiful women to serve as concubines (once approved). The team begins to bring back many gorgeous women, while the son manages to fall in love with one of the prime candidates.

This film showcases the power of Korean filmmaking through its exceptional art, set, and costume direction. The eyes never tire of this feast of color and beauty. And, humor and drama abound throughout. As with most Korean film it lasts over two hours. The audience always gets its money's worth. (Amazon)

I've seen Korean Romcoms where people died/suffered *brutally*. I had to stop watching most Korean flicks.

between the two top contenders. Plus, gratuitous nudity here and there. The SouKos got filmmaking down.
