Saw it during its theatrical release. Action packed and full of plausible absurdities. I especially liked the hassidim hit men. No problem knocking off anyone that got in their way but their profound fear of the wrath of god for not properly observing the sabbath ultimately did them in. Overall, well done but on reflection, one element of the plot kinda bugged me: The physical key to a locker was the mcguffin and plenty of characters died trying to get it. But the real mcguffin should have been the location of the locker, not the physical key to it. Possession of the key provided no clues about location so ultimately useless. Plus, no lock was going to stop these people. But that's just me. Quite recommended but lots of graphic violence.

What Hollywood needs is writers. They are milking the silly rom/com to death nt, posted on December 11, 2025 at 17:51:39

There is good writing, it's just not welcome at major studios. Hollywood is for $$$$. Indie is for art. They seem to be mutually exclusive.

they hid Liev and Vincent pretty well as the hit men, posted on December 12, 2025 at 13:04:12

I am used to (almost used to anyway) inconsistencies used in todays movies I ignore them when I can.

It gave me a "B movie" kind of a feel.

As a young guy, he was more of a genre and habit for me.

Read most of his books and any short stories I could get my hands
on by the time I was 24. Much of it was OOP until the 80's. The Quest
was thrilling. More was released posthumously. And more. And more.

Early member of The Philip K. Dick Society.

More influential to my life POV than any amount of drugs or alcohol or
various other addictions I've survived and/or enjoyed and/or exploited.

I LIKE H.G. Wells - I became addicted to PKD.
