because the first half of the series is character building. It can be a bit slow but the payback is a good kickstart.

Watched it when it first aired (Prime, Netflix?), really enjoyed it. Awaiting season 2, hopefully it's as good.

especially when some are downright despicable.

Who sez empathy does damage?

A few subtle, well placed twists keep things moving and once again
Mark Ruffalo proves he's one of the best actors we have.

Tom Pelphrey and Emilia Jones? WHO? Incredible!

Obviously most of the cast will (sadly) change, so hoping they can maintain the magic. I really got into almost every character (the female police officer 😐). I even dug the main criminal. And unfortunately it takes sooo long to release.

Some highlights IMO:

I Know This Much Is True (miniseries), Dark Waters, Scorpio, Mickey 17, Poor Things, Spotlight,
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are all worthy. He's done a bunch of romcoms (not my cuppa)
and Marvel things (also not my cuppa, but he's a good Hulk).

Lots of "lesser" movies/work than the named stuff, but HE'S always solid.
