I was expecting to be rolling my eyes all the way through it. But, it was well done with imaginative, grotesque creatures you never see in your own nightmares (until you see the film).

The story was well written and directed. 'Silent Hill' has always been about the creepy critters and situations you can barely escape from. This was done well and on a shoestring with prime characters playing two and three parts without eye rolls (meaning they tried to act).

Okay, low budget with a quality looking effects, decent acting, and some cringe and dread thrown in for good measure. Not for the mature audience but the 'Silent Hill' fraternity who have seen all the rest.
