I have the CT-34WX54 and find the picture too contrasty. Blacks are so black they loose detail and white are very white. I also find color a bit to saturated. I often find myself adjusting color, brightness and picture several times a night. A quick Google dug up a site where they found the colors to be over saturated and that the TV needs readjusted right out of the box.

Has anyone done this with this TV?

I called a local repair shop who would be glad to do a "convergence" on the TV. What is that and will it help?

Thanks, Scott

There are several setup discs on the market. I have Video Essentials. It takes a while to run through the DVD, but it is worth the effort. Trying to adjust a TV based on programme material & by "eye" is difficult to do.
