I have the Panasonic 42 PDW7UY. I just switched satellite providers from Dish Network to Direct TV. Previously, with Dish I was able to connect the satellite receiver to the TV with component cables and the new Direct TV receiver is standard dvr with only rca or s-video hookup. I added a DVI port to connect to a DVD player but only have one S-video or rca hookup along with the component hook up and pc hook up. Right now I am using S-video for the tv. My kids have an x-box and other video games which I had coming into a radio shack 4 input port using the rca input but now that is taken by the S-video.

I guess I could run the tv through that a/b/c/d device but worry that it may degrade the signal (having to run through another device and going down to rca). I don't have a receiver to handle the video. Are there any thoughts on adapters? Can you adapt from s-video to component? Is there an adapter to fit the pc inputs? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Just hook the DirectTV RCA output to the 4-input selector and be happy.
