It's a full array LED and the contrast is incredible for scenes that just look black on the old TV. OLED does have a more plasma like look and is better on extreme angles, but they didn't go over 65" when I upgraded.

I now have a 4K OLED and the picture is excellent, much better than my plasmas, and they were very good.
