The best drug film ever made?

I am not a fan of Trainspotting or Fear and Loathing, really, especially not insofar as they're supposed to represent the effects of their respective drugs. 'Spun' is the dirtiest, least romanticized (though still sorta romanticized) film about drugs I've seen. It's also technically brilliant. Supposedly it holds the world's record for the most edits. And the overall production design is excellent, the grit of the film itself is a great effect, the saturated colors and general wetness of everything is also very effective.

I thought the performances were very good, for the most part. The script could've used some work, here and there, and it's still a bit 'cool' to really be taken very seriously...but it raises your heart rate through editing alone, so that's pretty clever.

Worth seeing for the technical virtuosity alone.
