Here is the response from Panasonic. I called three different times and received the same answers three separate times, and I received this response from Panasonic. Stick to your single player RP56, when Sears already carries the CP-67 5 disc at a whopping 199.00, and bring your ad in and they will match the $169.88 price I found on the net.

Dear Panasonic Customer,

Thank you for your inquiry. The models which are currently on sale which use the Sage Faroudja progressive chip (FLI2200)are listed below. Other models which are not yet out such as the DVDXP30 and XP50 also use the same IC.

DVDCP67
DVDRP62
DVDRP56
SAHT95
DVDRP56U

Should it be necessary to send a reply; to ensure our prompt response, please mailto:consumerproducts@panasonic.com Please note; when responding, include or attach this message.

Can you please provide me with a list of the Progressive Scan DVD players
that will carry the Sage/Faroujda chip. I am going to buy one but am
confused about which ones do and do not carry the Sage chip.

Thanks
