The other reply you received is not correct.Simply selecting "small" for your speaker size is NOT bass managment. This only stops low frequencies from going to your speakers. What you then have is little or no bass at all! The Outlaw unit (B&K makes one also) mixes all the low frequencies that were meant for your speakers and sends them to the subwoofer.If you have full range speakers (those capable of reproducing low frequencies) bass managment is not a problem. If you dont have an SACD or DVD-A player yet you might want to wait. Theres a good bet that the next generation players will have this capability built in.
