Re: Using the built-in DD/DTS decoder through Sony TA-9000ES vs. processor?

Thanks Michael for the suggestions, unfortunately both the Rotel and the MSB options are too expensive. I'm primarily a two channel guy that enjoys a good movie experience once in a while.

Strangely I never really hear of anyone using the onboard decoder for DVD players, yet nearly all of them come supplied with it.

I was amazed that the $200 DVD playre red book CD playback was quite good compared to my Musical Fidelity X-Ray that cost several times more.

I think I'd be happy if the onboard DD/DTS performed as well against a stand alone processor.
