I just spoke to a customer service rep at JVC in New Jersey. He said that 2003 model S-VHS ET VCRs have just been announced, so it seems that JVC is still committed to the format. I also believe Panasonic continues to make one S-VHS ET VCR. If you have better info than I do, please share it with us.
