Just before buying Sony h.d. kv36hs500... your advices, suggestions and warnings please...

Hello my friends:

During the last few years I have been building a very nice two channel set-up, and this year I plann to expand it to Home Theater; my first step will be a high-end tv, I like Sony kv36hs500 and I am about to buy it in the next few days, so I am asking you please your finnal comments, ideas, suggestions... as you know it is not cheap (around $ 1.700.00) so I'd like to have your opinions please... Sony, Panasonic or Toshiba? Sony is the highest price... does it worths it the difference in price? or would I be paying the extra-money just the name? thanks in advance for your insights, best regards, Antonio Machado.
