Aspect ratio consideration

Are you certain that a 4:3 aspect ratio is the way you want to go? 16:9 (widescreen) is the trend. All HD material and most DVD movies are best viewed in 16:9. OTOH, there is more 4:3 content today. While that's likely to change, it will be a long, long time before most content is 16:9. Either choice is a mixed bag. It may depend mostly on how you plan to use the set.

As for reliability, while there are bound to be a few bad Sony sets out there, I have friends that are very happy with their Sony Wegas.
