WEGA hook-up

I'm expecting the Sony 27 WEGA KV27FV300 to arrive today. I'm not into HT and still use an 'ol VCR. I also have to use a cable box to unscramble pay-pre-view. My question is: Does anyone have any tips for connecting the VCR and cable box to the TV so I can watch any channel (including scrambled through the box) while recording another channel and vice versa?

I don't think there's a way to watch one scrambled while recording another scrambled, but I don't expect to ever need that.

I'm sure the manual will give good info and I plan to ask the delivery people, but my experience with things like this is there are many possible combinations of hook-up so if anyone here has any tips on the best signal and how to make it all work, I'd appreciate it. Thanks "The truth is out there." Fran
