963SA is good player.The unit was hooked(MIT avt2 compoment video cable) up to a SONY KV-HS34M61 capable of all progressive scan rates.(PAL&NTSC 1080i 720p 576p 480p)picture is perfect.
NTSC and PAL progressive-scan output when playing a PAL DVD, either NTSC (480p) or PAL (576p) output can be chosen.
in addition it is quiet a suitable cd player.
Audio Direct Mode which turns off video circuitry to avoid interference and
Multi-channel SACD playback, with enhanced SACD bass management for optimized bass response.
Some companies modificate them and they are formed like hi-end system
