Registered in one country, located in another and/or Emails from a third country. Particular warnings on Netherlands, Portugal/Spain, Romania/ Slavic countries. These are real hotspots for fraud. Indonesia is in a class by itself for scams.

Ask specific questions about the item, they usually KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the item. For fun, ask a totally bogus question, like does it have the "Bronson transmogrifier?", that can get fun.
Wants to go outside eBay.
