I don't kow why they don't have some kind of memory to hold the upto 1 second of footage so that the change can be eliminated period.
How hard is it to do this? not very i bet. People might say "well they charge more". I would pay $50 extra for that feature. Just like buffer ram on my cd/dvd burners
