Congrats on the new TV.
I recently purchased the Sony CRT KV-40XBR800 40" FD Trinitron from Tweeter. Formerly known around here as Bryn-Mawr Stereo. (16:9 movies are 37" corner to corner)
The darn thing is 306lbs and if it only goes two years, it wasn't worth the price. There's NO way I'm carrying this unit out for service!
The "extended" 3yr service agreement was worth it's weight in gold to me. This made it a 5yr "in home" repair service contract. They (Tweeter) have a good replacement policy if they can't repair the unit, were something unfortunate to happen.
(TV, stand and extended service agreement for just under suggested retail of the TV)
