It'll play DVD's better than the S7700, it'll play CD's better than the new SCD-1! It'll cook dinner for you if you let it! 8^)Seriously though, I'm not really sure about its performance in those areas. I wouldn't want to play DVD's on it unless it had a remote, and who plays their CD's on a Playstation? It might give *ok* quality for CD playback, but most people at least one CD player in the house, no?
Now, the real reason to get a PSX2, the games! Supposedly they are just phenomenal. Microsoft's Xbox might throw another wrench into the equation though.
