HT system with Best Possible Redbook performance

130.76.64.93

I am about start purchasing USED gear to assemble a
Home Theater System that also provides the best possible
2 channel audio playback. I play mainly classic rock and
80s music. I want to spend $800 for DVD/Redbook Player,
up to $1500 for a reciever or integrated amp, and up to
$1500 for stereo speakers. At first I will just be
running 2 channel mode. I am interested in the following:

Onkyo SP1000 (For DVD and Redbook source)
B&K AVR-307 (Real Nice 5ch A/V Receiver under $1000 used)
B&W 802 Matrix S2 (Nice used speakers for Redbook)

Any comments? I have read that Denon has poor redbook
performance hence the Onkyo but I am willing to hear
suggestions of better choices... The speakers may need
to change... I am not at all settled on what speakers to
look for... Again, I'll be buying all used gear...

Thanks
Tom
