My Blu-ray player is off to Sony for repair...

...after less than two months of light use. It was finicky from the beginning about playing rental discs, with periodic picture breakups and occasional skipping, but now it's doing it on brand-new store-bought discs too. I guess it needs a replacement drive. C'est la vie!
