I think Blu-Ray's got a fair chance, but they really do need to go the extra step and deliver a premium experience all around, because consumer apathy and the DVD are still formidable competitors, so it's not enough to be "a little bit better".

I don't see video on demand, downloads or HD VMD (or any other physical medium) looming on the horizon as the next big thing within 36 months.
