... there are people who collect obsolete formats. You could sell it on Amazon Marketplace or eBay.

I've seen many HD DVD(s) for good prices before too. To the best of my knowledge, you have to own an HD DVD player. Always wanted to purchase a player but I have not got around to doing it yet.
